Making the cut

Oh yeah! FINALLY got a hair cut yesterday! (or, as my Dad says, I got em' all cut. Lame, I know ;)) Anyway, after a year of no trims and tons of damage, I am sporting a super cute shoulder length bob. Haha! For some reason that makes it sound like I have a guy named Bob, who is the length of my shoulder and rides me around. Just me who thinks that? Hmmmm... ;) Anyway, it's nice not to feel so frumpy.
It makes me wonder what else I'm not cutting from my life that I either don't need or is downright destructive. Sugar is gone, at least till Easter. What about bad habits? Bad friendships? Bad attitudes? Bad moods? Bad style choices?:) I wonder if we keep these things around because we are used to them. We have found a way to navigate past them with only the occasional toe stub, so we think "this is doable, I don't need to change." But wouldn't it be nice to clear the path a bit? Maybe make our journey through this life a bit less stressful?
I really like the hair cut. Maybe more cuts are in order.

We dedicated Owen to the Lord at church on Sunday. So amazing to have a church family who will support you in raising your babies! During the service they showed a "Getting to Know You" interview that was filmed earlier in the week with Quin and I. Talk about torture! I don't think we are meant to see ourselves on camera, it's unnatural or something. ;) All you do the whole time is think "My face is crooked" or "Is my voice really that annoying?"
Not good for Amy's self esteem. Oh, well. Jesus thinks I'm cute :)

Babies! I needed to update kid photos. Ethan and Job have gotten so big, and it's not a babies photo without Miss Owen.

Movement

I love to watch my husband move. He is so fluid and graceful, yet such a guy! No wasted movement, no frills, no fuss. Very sexy ;). He's the same way when he speaks. No waste. Just the facts maam. Talk about opposites attract! I could chat up a blank wall and walk away still feeling like we had so much more to say.
I love that difference in us.
Movement has been a bit of a hot topic in our home this week. I gave birth to the fourth love of my life four months ago and am in need of exercise. I'll admit that I didn't do much of anything toward the end of my pregnancy, and not much more after, mostly just relying on breastfeeding to take the weight off. And it worked! For four months ;) Now I need to count those calories and move my booty. A group of girlfriends I call my "Commitee" (because we are so committed to each other, but especially to following Christ) are starting the Insanity workout routine. And believe me, it lives up to it's name!
So let's all raise a glass to movement, may it stay in our lives, and not kill us all in the process! Amen?
