Oh yeah! FINALLY got a hair cut yesterday! (or, as my Dad says, I got em' all cut. Lame, I know ;)) Anyway, after a year of no trims and tons of damage, I am sporting a super cute shoulder length bob. Haha! For some reason that makes it sound like I have a guy named Bob, who is the length of my shoulder and rides me around. Just me who thinks that? Hmmmm... ;) Anyway, it's nice not to feel so frumpy.
It makes me wonder what else I'm not cutting from my life that I either don't need or is downright destructive. Sugar is gone, at least till Easter. What about bad habits? Bad friendships? Bad attitudes? Bad moods? Bad style choices?:) I wonder if we keep these things around because we are used to them. We have found a way to navigate past them with only the occasional toe stub, so we think "this is doable, I don't need to change." But wouldn't it be nice to clear the path a bit? Maybe make our journey through this life a bit less stressful?
I really like the hair cut. Maybe more cuts are in order.

We dedicated Owen to the Lord at church on Sunday. So amazing to have a church family who will support you in raising your babies! During the service they showed a "Getting to Know You" interview that was filmed earlier in the week with Quin and I. Talk about torture! I don't think we are meant to see ourselves on camera, it's unnatural or something. ;) All you do the whole time is think "My face is crooked" or "Is my voice really that annoying?"
Not good for Amy's self esteem. Oh, well. Jesus thinks I'm cute :)

Movement
I love to watch my husband move. He is so fluid and graceful, yet such a guy! No wasted movement, no frills, no fuss. Very sexy ;). He's the same way when he speaks. No waste. Just the facts maam. Talk about opposites attract! I could chat up a blank wall and walk away still feeling like we had so much more to say.
I love that difference in us.
Movement has been a bit of a hot topic in our home this week. I gave birth to the fourth love of my life four months ago and am in need of exercise. I'll admit that I didn't do much of anything toward the end of my pregnancy, and not much more after, mostly just relying on breastfeeding to take the weight off. And it worked! For four months ;) Now I need to count those calories and move my booty. A group of girlfriends I call my "Commitee" (because we are so committed to each other, but especially to following Christ) are starting the Insanity workout routine. And believe me, it lives up to it's name!
So let's all raise a glass to movement, may it stay in our lives, and not kill us all in the process! Amen?

Back From The Dead!
I am back!
Sorry for the giant vacation. No excuses. Yo soy a jerk.
School starts in a week. Ethan schooled 5 days a week, Job schooled 2 days a week. Amy schooled all the days of the week. Amen?
I have started training for my next triathlon, and am sore. But having super cute outfits on while biking almost makes up for not being able to sit down without wincing.
Here is what I had for dinner. Please try and enjoy!
Spaghetti with Tuna Sauce.
Cook 12oz. spaghetti in salted water till aldente, reserving 1/2 c. pasta water before draining.
Saute' in olive oil 6 cloves minced garlic and 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes. Add 3 cans tuna packed in olive oil and break into small chunks. Add pasta water, pasta, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir and enjoy!

A Prayer for the Chapman Family
Steve Curtis Chapman, singer of songs, soldier for Christ, and his family have suffered a unimaginable loss this week.
Their beloved 5 year old daughter was killed in a tragic accident.
Please join me in praying to the God of all comfort for the Chapman family.
Father, draw this family close to your breast, shelter them from this storm. Bring healing and tender mercies to their hearts, and give them the knowledge of your unending goodness and love.
In the precious name of Christ Jesus, Amen.
Isaiah 40:31
But those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength,
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not faint.

Running in the Heat
Hey all!
I hope you had a great weekend. If you are one of my Texas friends you know it was crazy beautiful. Hot, sunny, and full of possibilities.
One of said possibilities was exercise, and my hubby took full advantage. Biking and running, biking and running. (it's his thing, don't judge) Anyway, on one of his runs, a funny thing happened. He was in the zone. He was king of the universe. He felt strong.
Till a concerned citizen stopped and asked him if he needed a ride. He was puzzled, and said "No, thanks, I'm doing this on purpose."
" Seriously?" They said. And drove away.
Now the thing that tickles me about this is, at the same time my Adonis thought he was Mr. Marathon, our fellow Texans thought he was a poor fellow, down on his luck, forced to resort to running down the road like a crazy person. Did his car break down? Was someone chasing him? Did those scary African bees finally make it over here and find their first victim?
Nope, he just likes to exercise. Go figure.
Love you all!
